I’ve just discovered the wonderful community development work of the Tamarack Institute at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. Their Five Interconnected Practices for Community Change are spot on for considering a range of work that we are doing both with churches and in the wider community.
COLLECTIVE IMPACT
How can we mobilize across sectors for systems change?
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
How can we bring the community together to be part of the change?
COLLABORATIVE LEADERSHIP
What approaches to leadership are required for community change?
COMMUNITY INNOVATION
How can we create, test, and scale new approaches?
EVALUATING IMPACT
How can we assess impact and apply what we have learned to our work?
